How do I check my Ready Rig GS VEGA Polycore Bands and prevent damage to them?Updated a year ago

If the rollers on your Ready Rig VEGA are damaged and not operating properly, they can damage the bands, potentially causing a band to fail.

Here is how to check your Ready Rig GS VEGA rollers and bands to make sure they are functioning properly, and how you can prevent damage to the rollers and bands from occurring.

CHECK YOUR RIG BEFORE EVERY USE

The Ready Rig GS VEGA has two 4-post roller assemblies at the top of each of the two carbon canisters. These rollers allow the Polycore Bands to glide safely and smoothly as you operate.

How to check your Ready Rig GS VEGA rollers and bands:

• Before each use, check your 4-post rollers to be sure each roller is spinning freely and easily. Be sure to test all 8 rollers on your rig.
• Next, visually confirm that your VEGA Polycore Bands are in good condition; check for nicks, cuts, dents, or scuffing of the rubber.

Protecting the PolyCore Bands

• You may also lightly coat the bands with a good silicone-based lubricant to help maintain them.
• ‎We recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

• If you notice one of your rollers is not spinning freely, or there is abnormal wear on your bands, DO NOT OPERATE or use your VEGA. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will take care of you. 
• Always be sure to release the tension from your ProArms gradually, in a controlled fashion, so they do not slam into and damage your VEGA rollers.
