How to Properly Wear and Adjust the Ready Rig Belt

The Ready Rig Belt is designed to provide optimal comfort and support while distributing weight evenly. It is a crucial component of the Ready Rig system, ensuring stability and ease of movement.

Getting Started

The Ready Rig Belt should work as is, with no additional modifications needed before use. However, to ensure maximum comfort and effectiveness, follow the proper steps when putting on the vest and belt.

Best Way to Put on the Vest with the Ready Rig Belt

To correctly and securely put on the vest while maintaining the integrity of the belt:

  1. Separate the Velcro Belt Strap – Once the vest is on, separate the Velcro belt strap from the hook and loop.

  2. Reattach the Velcro Belt Strap – Attach it to the very end of the sliding pad portion of the belt. This setup allows you to extend the belt fully without the pads slipping off.

  3. Extend the Belt – Once the Velcro belt strap is secured, extend the belt fully to accommodate your fit.

  4. Connect the Buckle – Make sure that both release buttons are fully engaged and locked. If the belt buckle is inserted at an angle, it is not securely connected. Ensure that you insert the buckle straight and that both release buttons are fully seated.

  5. Fasten the Belt Down – Once the belt is connected with the buckle, fasten the belt down by taking both Velcro belt straps. We recommend starting by taking both Velcro belt straps in your hand and pulling straight outward; this keeps the belt buckle centered on your waist. We then recommend tightening the Velcro straps again by starting with one side and using both hands to tighten it down. After one side, move to the other side.

Additional Tips for Comfort & Fit

  • Ensure the belt is positioned evenly around your waist to avoid any unnecessary strain.

  • Make minor adjustments after securing the vest to achieve a snug fit without restricting movement.

  • The belt should be located around your belt line. To check for unrestricted movement, lift your knee up to ensure your leg has full range of motion.

  • If the belt is too high, you will feel the small of your back taking the load. This means you must move the belt lower down. It should feel like a weightlifter's belt, providing support to your lumbar region.

  • If the belt feels too tight or loose, readjust the Velcro placement accordingly.

Following these steps will help you use the Ready Rig Belt efficiently, maximizing both comfort and performance while operating your Ready Rig system.
