How to Fix Shoulder Clamp V2 NoiseUpdated 2 hours ago
Quick Fix for Squeaking Noise
If your Shoulder Clamp V2 is making a squeaking noise, the most common cause is slight over-tightening at the main pivot joint. This is a simple adjustment that takes only a few minutes.
Tools Required
Two #4 hex keys
Cause
In some units, the pivot joint may be tightened slightly too much during assembly. When the joint is clamped too tightly, friction between the metal surfaces can create a squeaking sound during movement.
This is not a defect. It is simply excess clamping pressure.
How to Fix It
Insert a #4 hex key on each side of the pivot bolt.
Slightly loosen one side.
Turn only a very small amount, approximately 1 to 2 degrees.
Do not loosen more than necessary.
Test the joint movement.
If needed, repeat with another very small adjustment.
The goal is to reduce clamping pressure while maintaining a tight, solid joint with no play.
Important
Do not over-loosen the joint.
There should be no wobble after adjustment.
Lubrication is not required.
The issue is caused by compression, not lack of grease.
After adjustment, the joint should move smoothly and operate quietly while maintaining full structural integrity.
